Maren Morris delivered a powerful rendition of one of her latest singles to release, teaming up with Mickey Guyton and Brittney Spencer for the TV debut performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday night (November 7).

Morris released The Bridge, her 2-track EP, in September. “The Tree” and “Get the Hell Out of Here” collectively tell a story that “honors where I’ve been and but also feels like a forward step into the sun,” the Texas-born superstar previously said. Morris also said at that time that she’d been working on her next album “nonstop,” and realized that these two tracks “deserved a moment of their own.”

The award-winning singer-songwriter reiterated during her interview with show host Jimmy Fallon that titling her EP The Bridge “felt like just the step to the next thing, whatever that is. She also noted that country music is “a music that’s in me, and that’s what I grew up doing. It’s the music I write. Even if it’ve been sort of genre-fluid my whole career, you can’t scrub the country music out. …I’m taking the good parts (of country music) with me (in the next chapter), and all are welcome,” she said. “I’m a lot happier now.”
