Brett Young shared heartwarming photos and a birthday tribute to his eldest daughter on Tuesday (October 25) in celebration of her 4th birthday. The “Dance With You” superstar and his wife, Taylor Mills Young, welcomed daughter Presley Elizabeth in 2019.

“You changed our lives forever. We will love you longer than that. Happy number 4 sweet Presley girl,” Young wrote in his caption on Instagram as he shared adorable photos by Colorado-based Travel Portrait Studio. The post quickly garnered birthday wishes for 4-year-old Presley in the comments, and Young replied: “Thank y’all so much wishing our sweet girl a Happy Birthday!! Means a lot.”

The family — which also includes Presley’s little sister Rowan Marie, who arrived in July 2021 — celebrated with a trip to Dollywood, located in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Taylor shared that it was “so much fun celebrating our big girl at Dollywood last weekend 🥰 Oct 21st is a special day!”

Young previously opened up about how the father-son relationship he shared with his own father led him to believe he’d want sons someday. He “immediately” changed his mind when Presley was born, and though he considered wanting at least one of each, Rowan’s birth confirmed the “Mercy” artist was “supposed to be a girl dad.”

“I had such a good relationship with my dad – the father/son thing, the sports thing – I always thought that I wanted boys. And I immediately changed my mind when we had Presley,” Young said, per his record label. “And then there was a lot of conversation about, we’ll just keep going until we at least have one of each. But when we had Rowan, it was just confirmation that I was supposed to be a girl dad. I’m in love with it. I don’t feel the need to have a son anymore. I just love the way my relationship is with both of my daughters. It’s different. I mean, it changes you a little bit, but in a lot of good ways. I think I love differently and more deeply than I ever did before, and not just with them, but it opened my capacity to love that way in general with everybody in my life.”
