Toby Keith Reveals Plans For His First Shows In Years Amid Cancer Battle

Toby Keith revealed plans for his first two shows in years amid his ongoing cancer battle. The country hitmaker is set to take the stage back-to-back nights this December in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Keith, 62, posted a video on Instagram on Friday (October 20), announcing the upcoming shows that are scheduled in the middle of the National Finals Rodeo event. Keith said he’s “never been off a year in my life,” and after two years off the road, he’s about to “get the band back in sync (and) get me rolling again.”

The first-ever People’s Choice Country Awards Country Music Icon Award recipient told E! News on the red carpet of the inaugural awards show that he was feeling “pretty good,” though his cancer battle has been “a little bit of a roller coaster. He said at that time, “you get good days and you’re up and down, up and down. It's always zero to 60 and 60 to zero but I feel good today.”

Keith, who delivered a heartfelt acceptance speech at the awards show last month, revealed his stomach cancer diagnosis in a statement in June 2022. He shared at that time that he’d been diagnosed in the fall of 2021, and he would take a break “to breathe, recover and relax.”

Now, Keith is looking ahead to two shows at Dolby Live at Park MGM on December 10 and 11 (the National Finals Rodeo is set for December 7 through December 16). Tickets of on sale on Friday, October 27 at 10 a.m. PT. See Keith’s announcement here:
