Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning are gearing up to resume their roles as “hosting icons” of the CMA Awards, set to return in the coming weeks in Downtown Nashville, Tennessee. The hilarious hosting duo shared a video opening with Willie Nelson’s classic “On The Road Again,” riding off into the sunset as they get the call to return to the CMA stage.

“You know, Peyton, hosting the CMA Awards with you was truly something special,” Bryan said as the pair rode horses side by side. Manning agreed that their hosting gig was “the stuff of legends.”

That’s when Manning received a call — even though “we’re in the middle of riding off into the sunset” — to host Country Music’s Biggest Night for another year. The NFL star and country hit-maker considered whether to team up again, and opted to defend their title as “hosting icons” at the 57th CMA Awards. The video ends with Bryan and Manning accepting the job, followed by a comical moment in front of the green screen.

Bryan recently appeared on Good Morning America, where he said he and Manning “have a great time” hosting the show together. The duo aims to “come up with a couple funny jokes, poke a few people. But the bottom line is just be ourselves and really keep the people in the room engaged, and the audience at home having fun and smiling.”
