Maren Morris Reportedly Files For Divorce From Husband Ryan Hurd

Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd are reportedly parting ways after five years of marriage.

Morris cited “irreconcilable differences” when she filed for divorce from Hurd on October 2, which is the same date as the couple’s separation, per documents recently obtained by PEOPLE and Us Weekly, multiple reports on Tuesday (October 17) state. The singer-songwriter pair has a prenup agreement in place. PEOPLE also notes that a judge ordered a parenting seminar, which is required of all divorce cases that involve children, and documents show that Morris completed the seminar over the weekend. 

Morris, 33, and Hurd, 36, tied the knot in March 2018 at a venue in Nashville, Tennessee. They met years earlier while cowriting a song for country megastar Tim McGraw. Morris and Hurd share one child together, son Hayes Andrew Hurd, who was born on March 23, 2020. The “The Tree” artist and her estranged husband have previously supported one another’s solo endeavors, in addition to teaming up in their music. Morris and Hurd collaborated on the smash-hit duet about an on-again, off-again couple, “Chasing After You,” becoming the third married couple this century to release a Top 10 duet, Hurd noted in 2021.

Neither Morris nor Hurd has publicly commented on the divorce as of publication time on Tuesday.
