Kailey Dickerson shared a heartfelt reflection of the “beauty and sorrow” of welcoming Baby No. 2. Kailey, who welcomed her second baby with husband and country superstar Russell Dickerson, posted a few adorable, black-and-white photos with her newborn son on Monday (October 16).
Russell and Kailey welcomed Radford Arthur Dickerson 10 days early, on October 1, weighing 8 lbs, 14 oz, and measuring 20.5 in. Radford Arthur — or “Lil Rad,” as his parents have called him — joins big brother Remington Edward, who turned 3 last month.
“The beauty and sorrow of a second born is soaking it all in knowing exactly how fast it goes... so one day I’ll make plans and call people back but for now ‘I’m rocking my baby and babies don’t keep,’” Kailey wrote in her caption on Instagram. Some Instagram users and fellow moms — including “Forever After All” artist Luke Combs’ wife Nicole Combs — agreed that Kailey’s post is the “truth.”
Kailey also shared recently that Russell “hauled it” home to Nashville, Tennessee, making it to his son’s birth after leaving from his tour stop in Kansas City, Missouri. The “Home Sweet” artist is set to resume his tour again on October 26 in Cleveland, Ohio. Until then, he said on his Instagram story on Saturday that he’s “gonna hop off here for a minute and spend these few weeks unplugged. Soaking in fam time while we’re off the road for a little. See yall soon! ❤️”
