Old Dominion kickstarted a fresh era in their music with Memory Lane, the band’s highly-anticipated 18-track album that extends their previously-released EP of the same name.
“The joy of creating new music and putting it out and then seeing how y'all receive it... There’s a real freedom in that,” Old Dominion said as the album made its debut on Friday (October 6). “Our sound is the result of five individuals listening to each other and playing what comes naturally. Whatever comes through us, through our instruments, that’s the fusion of our musical DNA, that’s Old Dominion.”
Th full-length record includes a few previously-released anthems — including the title track, “I Should Have Married You,” “Some Horses” and others — and collaborations with Megan Moroney and Blake Shelton. Old Dominion previously said they always knew the 8-track EP they released in June “was going to be a full album.” Frontman Matthew Ramsey previously said the project is “definitely a new chapter for Old Dominion.”
