“Will you help Craig propose?”
Keith Urban couldn’t help but notice the sign a fan held up during a recent show, and he sprung into action. The “Wild Hearts” superstar scanned the audience looking for Craig, and noticed another sign that read, “Loralee, will you marry me?”
“You’re very cute, but she’s cuter,” Craig tells Urban in the video, who replies, “I’m very cute, but she’s cuter? Yeah, she’s way cuter than me!”
Urban handed the microphone to Craig, who used it to propose to Loralee in the middle of the crowd. The audience cheered when Craig popped the question and Loralee said ‘yes,’ holding the ring in the air for others to see.
Urban congratulated the newly-engaged couple and dedicated his performance of his 2004 ballad, “Making Memories Of Us,” — from his fourth full-length studio album, Be Here, which also included “Days Go By,” “Better Life,” “You’re My Better Half,” “Tonight I Wanna Cry” and other fan-favorites — to Craig and Loralee: “And I'm gonna love you/ Like nobody loves you/ And I'll earn your trust/ Makin' memories of us” (though the country star updated the lyrics to say: “Craig is gonna earn your trust makin’ memories of him and you, Loralee, yes he is”).
