Reba McEntire is ready to take her “throne” on the set of The Voice. The country megastar is gearing up for her first season as a coach on the smash-hit competition show in season 24, which is set to premiere next month.
“Queen Reba” will serve as a coach for the first time, alongside returning celeb coaches Gwen Stefani, Niall Horan and John Legend. The announcement came earlier this year, as McEntire was Mega Mentor in Blake Shelton’s final season of the show. She was also a Battle Advisor during the first season of the show in 2011. As a Mega Mentor, McEntire said that it’s “always a lot of fun to give advice because I study people when they perform, and I wanna be touched when they’re singing to me.”
Season 24 of The Voice is set to premiere on September 25 and September 26 on NBC, streaming on Peacock. McEntire — who is set to release a lifestyle book and accompanying album this fall — will also return to The Voice in season 25, when Dan + Shay will join the celebrity panel as the first-ever coaching duo (along with Legend and Chance the Rapper) in spring 2024.
