Morgan Wade feels like she “can finally breathe” now that she’s officially debuted her latest full-length album, Psychopath, which released in time to kick off the weekend on Friday (August 25).
Wade’s 13-track sophomore album, announced earlier this year, includes the previously-released title track, “80’s Movie,” “Fall In Love With Me” — accompanied by a sultry music video to “troll the trolls” amid rumors that she and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards were dating — and other highlights.
“The record is out. My art was released into the world and I can finally breathe,” Wade said in a statement on Friday. “The response has been so great already. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. I’ve stressed and honestly been a pain in the a$$ to deal with the last couple weeks 😂 thanks for the support and the love — and a big thank you to everyone who was part of this record. I’m very grateful today. Love you all.”
Playing an acoustic rendition of “27 Club,” the final track on the album, Wade admitted Thursday evening (August 24) that she was “nervous” for the full record to make its long-awaited debut. The song is about “the moments in life - losing friends- my mental health struggles- the media/noise and stories- my sobriety - they go on for a minute - and then for a minute they are gone..and I am still me.”

Wade said as she announced Psychopath earlier this year that she’s “proud” of the long-time-coming project because “I feel like it showcases where I am at this moment in time. I have no choice but to be authentic. And I have to feel what I feel. And right now, I’m really feeling the music.”
Psychopath follows Wade’s debut album Reckless, a 10-track collection that released in 2021. The CMT Next Women of Country alum (Class of 2022) expended Reckless with a 16-track deluxe edition in 2022.
“Thank you all for following along this journey with me and allowing me to put out music. Thanks for seeing me through the ups and downs,” Wade wrote in her Instagram caption on Thursday evening. “Just like I did with Reckless, I will eventually be putting out acoustic songs of this record as well for those of you that prefer an acoustic version.”
