Jana Kramer and Danielle Bradbery shared a candid conversation about coping with anxiety, getting through heartbreak, writing vulnerable music and more in the latest episode of Whine Down With Jana Kramer (and pregnant Kramer confirmed her baby’s initials after she and fiancé Allan Russell “officially, officially, officially have a name now”).
Bradbery, 27, quickly rose to stardom after winning The Voice at age 16. Now, more than 10 years of working on the music industry, Bradbery is reflecting on her experience so far and looking ahead to her next chapter of music. She’s been hard at work on a new collection of songs after a few recent releases, including “Runaways,” “A Special Place” and “Monster,” a vulnerable ballad for anyone dealing with anxiety. On the podcast, Bradbery opened up about therapy, self care, the tools she uses to help herself remain on steady ground and more.
Bradbery — who is getting ready to join “Next Thing You Know” star Jordan Davis on his headlining tour, kicking off next month — confirmed that she'll release another song “soon,” and that she's been in and out of the studio with hopes of releasing her next full-length project soon. The music Bradbery has been working on is “more ‘me’ than ever,” she said during the Whine Down With Jana Kramer conversation.
“This music, I think, is a little bit of a different approach than I’ve done with other songs,” Bradbery told iHeartRadio earlier this summer of the music fans can expect to hear in the next chapter of her career. “The honesty, the vulnerability, just all of that is always the same and I try to hit every time.
“I think I finally feel like as an artist, as a woman in country, I feel like I’m finally settling into what Danielle Bradbery’s music sounds like and what I wanna say. So, this next chapter of music I’m very, very proud of,” she continued. “I try to pick things and write things that are from different perspectives and maybe in ways that people haven’t heard before through music. …I’m really excited about it all.”
