Brian Kelley shared an acoustic rendition of his heartfelt summertime anthem while he was backstage at Good Morning America on Tuesday morning (August 8). The Florida-born country singer-songwriter delivered “all the summer feels” as he performed “See You Next Summer” in Times Square in New York City, marking his solo TV performance debut.

Kelley released “See You Next Summer” earlier this year. The single depicts an unforgettable summertime romance: “Girl I’ve never gone to Jacksonville, Georgia/ But after holdin’ you all night I wanna/ ‘Cause this ain’t a margarita, can I get our number/ Meet me by the water text, hookin’ up/ See you next summer/ See you next summer.”

David GarciaMichael Hardy and Hillary Lindsey teamed up to write “See You Next Summer,” and Kelley previously said that the first time he listened to the song, he was hooked: “I was smiling the whole way through. I've lived this song. It was striking chords all over my body, I felt it in my soul.”

The single’s release came shortly after Kelley stirred anticipation with teasers on his social media channels, readying fans for his next era of music. Find Kelley’s full performance of “See You Next Summer” here.
