Carly Pearce shared a hilarious video of the moments her flight attendants kept her “humble” while she watched her CMA Fest performance from the plane. The award-winning country star said they did it by “not knowing who I am 😂😂😂😂😂”
As Pearce watches the show on her laptop, viewers can hear “Watermelon Moonshine” artist and CMA Fest host Lainey Wilson introduce her to the stage during the three-hour special that aired on ABC on Wednesday night (July 19). Pearce excitedly held her laptop over her head and brought it to show a flight attendant.
“This is me!” Pearce said, pointing to the screen and high-fiving the woman. “(I’m) on TV tonight!”
Pearce showed another flight attendant as she exited the aircraft. The man gave her a double thumbs up, and as Pearce skipped down the aisle, the flight attendant called after her, “what’s your name?”
“No one believed me when I told them (I was on TV)!” Pearce said.
“Omg I’m dead 😂 so thankful I was on this flight to experience this,” fellow country artist Kylie Morgan wrote in the comments. Some of Pearce’s Instagram followers — including some flight attendants — dropped comments of their own, including: “As an American Airlines FA I would be losing my damn mind if you walked onto a flight I was working😭😭😭😭😭,” “Okay I am DYING at this…because a couple months ago, you were on one of my flights (I’m a flight attendant with southwest) we were going from BNA to OAK I believe, and no one knew who you were except ME 😂 ☠️,” “This is officially my favorite video on the internet. Pure GOLD. The two flight attendants at the end. Their faces 😂😂😂😂😂,” and more.
Pearce took the stage during the iconic festival, which celebrated its 50th year when it was hosted in Nashville from June 8-11, celebrating country music with some of the genres biggest artists. The star-studded lineup also included Miranda Lambert, Old Dominion, Jon Pardi, Elle King, Luke Bryan, Tim McGraw, Little Big Town and many others. Pearce’s performances that aired on ABC, and are now available on Hulu, include “What He Didn’t Do,” and a duet with Jo Dee Messina, her 90s hit “I’m Alright. Watch both performances below.
