There’s a first time for everything…
Carly Pearce admitted that for the first time ever, she “busted my booty” on stage during a show in Iowa. The “We Don’t Fight Anymore” songstress wrote in a tweet after the concert on Friday night (July 14): “Well there’s a first time for everything and I sure busted my booty tonight in Iowa. Who has a video? 😂”
Some Twitter users were quick to comment that they hope Pearce is OK, and that she still “put on an amazing show” (or, in the case of Texas-based Josh Abbott Band, drop a gif of Bill Hader eating popcorn in a throwback Saturday Night Live sketch, which Pearce replied, with a laugh, was “SAVAGE”).
One fan, however, replied that she “actually found it on Tik Tok,” adding, “Bless your heart!!! Are ya ok???” She included the 35-second clip posted by a concertgoer on TikTok, which captured the moment Pearce tripped during her performance of her smash-hit anthem, “Next Girl” (shortly before the line, “he said he never falls this hard/ Yeah, I remember that part”). As soon as she finished the song, Pearce said, “one of you is gonna put that on the internet and I’m gonna die.” Pearce later shared a video of the fall on Instagram. She wrote in her caption: “First fall on stage, better make it count 😂🙈🤦🏼♀️”
“It’s the lady with the hand and arm movements that stop until she knows you’re okay,” a fan replied to the tweet with the video, adding a laughing face emoji. “True supporter.”
Pearce shared a sweet moment with the Iowa crowd on Friday night, admitting that she was “really sick” and worried that she wouldn’t be able to perform that night.
“Not only did you welcome me with open arms, but you gave me so many moments like this,” Pearce said as she shared a powerful video of the whole crowd singing along to her unforgettable breakup ballad, “What He Didn’t Do.” “I’ll never forget tonight 🤍”
