Mickey Guyton posted the first snippet of her soon-to-relase duet with fellow country superstar Kane Brown, shortly after revealing that he’s her mystery duet partner that she’d been teasing on her social media channels.
Guyton shard the first listen of “Nothing Compares To You” on Tuesday (July 11), just a few days before the collaboration is set to release. The soulful ballad is set to make its debut on Friday (July 14), and within minutes, Guyton’s social media followers gushed in the comments, “so amazing omg, i cant wait 🥹❤️,” “Soooooo gooooood 🔥💛,” and “Beautiful 🔥🔥,” to name a few.
Last week, Guyton hinted that she “might have some exciting news to share very soon… 🤍.” It wasn’t long before she began to stir anticipation for “Nothing Compares To You,” bleeping out details as she teased that an announcement was coming soon. Over the next few days, Guyton prompted her Instagram followers to guess her collaboration partner and the song title using only emojis as clues (many Instagram users guessed, for example, that Guyton was teaming up with Brown when she used emojis that seemingly represented the title of his smash-hit single, “Bury Me In Georgia”).
