Though Ashley McBryde’s latest The Devil I Know anthem offers a glimpse into her life as a touring artist, its relatability spans far beyond careers as musicians. The powerhouse singer-songwriter unleashed “Made For This” on Friday (July 7), marking the latest release leading to her upcoming album.

McBryde reflected on the day she wrote the track with Travis Meadows, announcing the song’s release in an Instagram caption. They wrote it “about touring and the life of musicians. But this song reaches beyond that. It’s not just touring musicians and bands and crews who are on the road 200+ days a year who are ‘calling home for a telephone goodnight kiss.’ It’s also members of our military, our truck drivers and those that work long or odd hours, sacrificing time with their family. We’re lucky we’re [‘Made For This’].”

“Made For This” is McBryde’s latest song to release as she readies her next era, following “Light On In The Kitchen,” “The Devil I Know” and “Learned To Lie.” McBryde’s next full-length project follows Ashley McBryde Presents: Lindeville, the 13-track collection she released in September 2022. The Devil I Know is due almost exactly one year later, on September 8. Listen to “Made For This” here:
