Brittney Kelley Shares Go-To Fitness Routine After 'Exhilarating' Workout

Brittney Kelley shared her go-to workout routines and strategy to maintain a healthy diet in response to “a lot of questions” from her Instagram followers on Wednesday (June 28).

Kelley kicked off the morning with a post-workout selfie on her Instagram story after she “kicked my own a** today,” and encouraged others to “get that workout in that you didn’t want to do… it’s exhilarating.” She followed up shortly afterward with a picture of the eggs she had for breakfast after the invigorating exercise.

That’s when Kelley, wife of “See You Next Summer” star Brian Kelley, said that she’d received “a lot of questions about my workout & eating routine.”

“The answer is, I’m a very intuitive person when it comes to working out and eating,” she wrote on her Instagram story. “I listen to my body and don’t push myself or force a certain diet (restrictive or forcing protein). I mix up my workouts 4-5 days a week, usually 20-30 mins.” Kelley’s workouts typically include strength training with 10- to 20-pound weights, HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) cardio, Pilates or walking.

“Eating I follow the 80/20 rule,” Kelley continued. “80% of the time I choose healthy, life fueling foods & 20% I eat whatever I want (chocolate, donuts, etc). I try to save my 20% for when I’m with friends or being social.”

The Kelleys tied the knot nearly a decade ago in an intimate ceremony in Nashville, Tennessee. The country singer-songwriter said when he wrote a sweet 9-year anniversary tribute to her in December that marrying Brittney is the “best thing I ever did.”
