Brett Young, RaeLynn, Mickey Guyton and other country singer-songwriters who are also devoted parents teamed up to release a heartwarming collection of music that’s perfect for the next generation of music lovers.
Growin’ Up Country Vol. 1 features 9 tracks by some of Music City’s biggest artists, writers and producers to debut the children-focused project on Friday (June 23). It aims to offer a songs that “capture the magic of country music,” for parents and kids to listen to together, “while encouraging confidence, learning, joy, and imagination,” reads information about Growin’ Up Country Vol. 1. “Having two daughters, I hear a lot of children’s music,” Young, who has said that he was “supposed to be a girl dad,” said in a statement of the album. “This one immediately felt different. It felt special. I’m honored to be a part of it.”
Similarly, Executive Producer and artist Jaden Michaels reflected on growing up with country music and playing her favorite artists on repeat, “so bringing an album to life that is tailor-made for children is so meaningful to me. Being a mom and getting to share this with my little girl is so full-circle, and I hope the next generation of country music fans and their parents enjoy this collection of songs together.”
