The War And Treaty Get Lost In Each Other's Eyes While Singing New Song

The War and Treaty plucked at everyone's heartstrings with their emotional performance of their new song.

On Thursday night, May 11, the husband-and-wife duo took the stage at the 58th annual Academy of Country Music Awards. Michael Trotter Jr. and Tanya Trotter faced one another as they started to perform their latest release "Blank Page." The couple was nominated for Duo of the Year for the first time alongside other prominent duos like Dan + Shay, Brothers Osborne and more. Before the show, the Trotters were "speechless" when they were asked how they felt about being at the awards show.

"Just walking up here, with my husband. It's amazing," Tanya said while on the red carpet.

The Michigan natives' amazing set comes just a couple of months after they released their fourth studio album Lover's Game via UMG Nashville. The 10-rack project features hits like "That's How Love is Made" and it's title track "Lover's Game." The music video for their first single was shot at Justin Timberlake's Twelve Thirty Club in Nashville.

“I can’t believe the day has come and we finally get to let the world in on the secret that is, ‘That’s How Love Is Made’ and we hope folks connect to it as much as we have,” Michael Trotter, Jr said about the first single last year. “My prayer is that so much love is created through this song that eventually hate is drowned out. Let love be as creative as it wants in our friendships, in our business partnerships, in our neighborhood, and never put the chains on her…for she is meant to be free.”

The War and Treaty's new EP Blank Page is out now.
