Lainey Wilson spotted a group of concertgoers breakdancing to her music in the crowd at a North Carolina show more than a year ago. Now, they’re showing off their moves in the award-winning country star’s high-energy music video that premiered on Monday morning (May 8).

“Y’all get to stretchin’ cause it’s gonna make you wanna bust a move,” Wilson wrote in a tweet as she announced that the “Grease” music video is officially available. The Preston Leatherman-directed project captures a vibrant “a parkin lot party” and a few snapshots from Wilson’s first-ever “Country With A Flare” headlining tour. Wilson released “Grease” on the original 14-track list of Bell Bottom Country, her highly-anticipated sophomore album that released in October 2022. She’s since added to the collection with songs that appeared in Yellowstone as she made her acting debut in the latest season of the smash-hit Paramount+ series.

“Good God a mighty/ Boy you got me/ Begging like a ole hound dog/Buttered up and rolling/ Like a skillet smoking/ Up a kitchen down in Arkansas/ Yea we onto something/ Want ya keep it coming/ Baby I can handle the heat/ Yea boy you make me wanna/ Rare back and slap my mama/ Hot damn four hundred degrees/ Now we cooking with grease/ Now we cooking with grease”

“I saw these guys about a year ago at one of my shows in Charlotte, NC and they were bustin. a. move. out in the crowd,” Wilson wrote in an Instagram caption of the dancers featured in the video. “I thought it was the coolest thing they were breakdancing to country music so I tracked them down on socials and asked them if they’d want to be a part of this official video..now, here we are!”
