Luke Bryan just dropped what he predicts will become “your new summer anthem” on Friday (May 5). The award-winning country megastar released “But I Got A Beer In My Hand,” from a highly-anticipated forthcoming album (after giving Ryan Seacrest a sneak peek earlier this week).

“But I got a beer in my hand, and I got it raised up high/ I ain't got a give in my damn right, I can do this all night/ Country done came to town, this town don't stand a chance/ I’ll holler at the ladies, dancin' like crazy, new Luccheses, fresh up out the deer stand/ Feelin' this high, wasn't part of my plan/ Wasn't even gonna try/ But I got a beer in my hand”

“I knew I wanted a fun uptempo song everyone could enjoy this summer,” Bryan said, per a press release announcing his newest song on Friday. “I can’t wait to start doing it live. It’s gonna be a blast.”

Bryan is slated to perform “But I Got A Beer In My Hand” on the season finale of American Idol on Sunday, May 21. The “One Margarita” giant is wrapping up his sixth season as a judge, alongside Katy Perry and Lionel Richie. Bryan is also set to kick off live performances on his highly-anticipated “Country On Tour” and his headlining “Farm Tour” this year, in addition to his return to Las Vegas.

Chase McGill, Matt Dragstrem, and Geoff Warburton joined forces to write Bryan’s new summer-worthy anthem. It was produced by Jeff Stevens and co-produced by Jody Stevens, per the release.

Bryan is part of the all-star iHeartCountry Festival lineup on May 13, at Moody Center in Austin, Texas. Fans across the country will able to tune in to all of the incredible live performances at this year's iHeartCountry Festival as the event will be broadcast on iHeartRadio country stations nationwide, and on iHeartRadio.com as well as the iHeartRadio app on Saturday, May 13th at 8pm ET/5pm PT.
