Chris Janson released his “absolute biggest collaboration to date,” teaming up with two legendary artists on “21 Forever.” The country singer-songwriter features global megastars Dolly Parton and Slash on the coming-of-age ballad that made its debut on Friday (May 5).

With the two Rock & Roll Hall of Famers, “it doesn’t get any BIGGER than that,” Janson said in an Instagram caption as he debuted his newest song. “I’m incredibly humbled and grateful for these two.”

Janson announced “21 Forever” earlier this week. He wrote the track with Tommy Cecil and Tom Douglas, aiming to focus “on that transitional time in life when you’ve grown out of the youthful partying and start embracing life in a whole new way - realizing that you ‘can’t be 21 forever’ and understanding the beauty of growing up,” reads a press release issued earlier this week. “21 Forever” is one of 14 tracks — and one of several collaborations — on Janson’s forthcoming album, The Outlaw Side of Me, which is set to release in June. Other artists featured on the project include Brantley Gilbert and Darius Rucker:

  1. Rowdy Gentle Man
  2. Honkytonk Minute
  3. Outlaw Side of Me
  4. All I Need Is You
  5. Hank The Hell Out of The Honkytonk (featuring Brantley Gilbert)
  6. Dirt In My Life
  7. Tap That
  8. Good Folks Goin’ To Work
  9. GOAT
  10. Get It Right
  11. Every Day of the Week (featuring Darius Rucker)
  12. 21 Forever (featuring Dolly Parton and Slash)
  13. Days in the Field
  14. 21 Forever (Original Version featuring Slash)

“From the minute I started this album, 'til the minute we finished, I enjoyed every second,” Janson said in a press release on Friday. “This album encompasses all sides of me! The lover, the party guy, the conservationist, the family man and of course, the rowdy side. I love the songs, the imaging and had a good time making the music. I hope you all enjoy The Outlaw Side of Me - my favorite album, to date.”
