Russell Dickerson is gearing up for his TV debut.

The “God Gave Me A Girl” hitmaker posted some photos from the set of Call Me Kat, a sitcom starring Mayim Bialik, Swoosie Kurtz and Kyla Pratt. The series follows “a 39-year-old woman (who) decides to use the money her parents had been saving for her wedding to open a cat-themed cafe,” per IMDb. It premiered in 2021.

“LOOK MOM! I’m on TV!!!” Dickerson wrote in his Instagram caption on Thursday (May 4). “Tune in to watch me pick a wedgie! This whole day was CRAZYYYY! Making my acting debut on the season 3 finale of ‘Call Me Kat’ on FOX! Shout out to the incredible cast and crew for helping me my first time on camera!”

Dickerson’s latest album is his self-titled, 15-track project that released in November 2022. That adds to a list of career-spanning hits like “Love You Like I Used To,” “She Likes It” featuring Jake Scott, “Blue Tacoma,” “Home Sweet,” “Yours” and many others. Dickerson added one of his latest songs, “God Gave Me A Girl,” to an Instagram reel when he and his wife, Kailey, announced that they’re expecting Baby No. 2, another boy, later this year.
