Chris Janson is joining forces with two legendary artists on a genre-blending track that’s set to drop on Friday (May 5). The “Buy Me a Boat” star will feature Rock & Roll Hall of Fame members Dolly Parton and Slash on “21 Forever.”
Janson penned the upcoming song with Tommy Cecil and Tom Douglas, speaking “on that transitional time in life when you’ve grown out of the youthful partying and start embracing life in a whole new way - realizing that you ‘can’t be 21 forever’ and understanding the beauty of growing up,” reads a press release announcing the all-star collaboration on Tuesday (May 2).
“I’m so thrilled to announce, that two Global Icons have joined me in song, for my absolute biggest collaboration to date,” Janson said in the release. “Dolly and Slash, it doesn’t get any BIGGER than that. I’m incredibly humbled and grateful for these two. Hope you all enjoy ‘21 Forever.’”
“21 Forever” will follow other recent releases from Janson — “Tap That” and “All I Need Is You” — among his career-spanning anthems like “Fix a Drink,” “Good Vibes” and more. Janson promised in an Instagram caption that his soon-to-release collaboration is “going to be EPIC.”
