Morgan Wallen announced new dates for a few upcoming concerts as his voice recovers. The “Last Night” artist said in a statement on his Instagram story on Monday night (April 24) that he’s “on doctor-ordered vocal rest,” and will have to reschedule the shows coming up this week.

“Y’all know how important my fans are to me, so I feel horrible about this news. There’s nothing more I want to do than be on a stage playing for you guys,” Wallen’s statement reads. “But as of today, I’m on doctor-ordered vocal rest and we have to rescheduled this week’s shows. I appreciate and understand everything you do to get to my shows, so it would be unfair of me to put on a show that I know will not be 100%. I’m doing everything I can to speed up the process of getting to that 100% mark.”

Wallen shared the new dates for three upcoming shows: June 27 in Grand Rapids, Michigan; September 8 in Moline, Illinois; September 9 in Lincoln, Nebraska. Wallen’s Instagram story reads that “all original tickets will be honored for the new dates. For questions about refunds, please check with your point of purchase.”

The announcement comes after Wallen issued an apology for canceling one of his shows minutes before he was set to take the stage at Vaught Hemingway Stadium in Oxford, Mississippi. Wallen was set to play back-to-back nights at the Ole Miss football stadium; however, after his openers performed, thousands of concertgoers — many of whom expressed frustration and disappointment on social media — saw a displayed message: “Ladies and gentlemen, unfortunately, Morgan has lost his voice and is unable to perform tonight. Therefore, tonight’s show has been canceled. Please make your way safely to the stadium exits.”

“After last night’s show I started losing my voice so I spent the day resting up, talking to my doctor and working through my vocal exercises trying to get better,” read the statement on Wallen's Instagram story, shared on Sunday evening (April 23). “I really thought I’d be able to take the stage and it kills me to deliver this so close to showtime, but my voice is shot and I am unable to sing. All tickets will be refunded at point of purchase. I am so sorry, I promise you guys I tried everything I could.”

Wallen, who released his 36-track album last month, is currently on his “One Night At A Time World Tour,” with special guests HARDYParker McCollumERNEST and Bailey Zimmerman.
