Jimmie Allen and his wife, Alexis Gale, are parting ways after nearly two years of marriage, and they’re expecting another child.

“After much thought and reflection in recent months, Lex & I have made the decision to separate,” Allen said in a statement he posted on Instagram on Friday (April 21). “As we navigate the life change, we can also share that we will be welcoming another child together later this year. Our number one priority is and always will be ensuring that our children are healthy, happy and loved, and we remain committed to co-parenting with love and respect for one another. In light (of) our growing family, we respectfully request privacy during this time.”

Allen and Gale tied the knot nearly two years ago, in May of 2021. They got married in a romantic ceremony with family, friends and a few of Allen’s fellow country stars, including Darius RuckerTyler Rich, and Chuck Wicks. The “Best Shot” artist proposed at Disney World in July of 2019. Shortly after their wedding, the couple shared breathtaking photos from the big day.

The award-winning country artist and Gale are parents to daughters Naomi Bettie, born in March 2020, and Zara James, born in October 2021. Allen is also father to son Aadyn, 8, from a previous relationship.
