Carly Pearce is getting ready for an epic return to her home state. The award-winning singer-songwriter posted a clip on her social media channels on Thursday (April 20), wearing a flowing light blue dress and reaching into a hatbox for a vibrant red hat decked in feathers. Pearce put on the hat with a wink.

“Hmmm what could this mean?? Place your bets below for what it could be 👀,” Pearce wrote in her caption on TikTok, set to her bold breakup anthem “Diamondback” from her smash-hit album, 29: Written In Stone. She included hashtags referencing the upcoming 149th Kentucky Derby, set for Saturday, May 6.

Pearce’s TikTok followers were quick to drop comments: “ARE YOU SINGING THE NATIONAL ANTHEM AT THE DERBY,” “You’re going to the derby and performing diamond back,” “The KY derby baby!!! 🥰,” and “Churchill downs baaaabbbbbyyyyy,” to name a few.

The “What He Didn’t Do” artist is from Taylor Mill, Kentucky, which now bears a sign reading: “Welcome to Taylor Mill, hometown of country music star Carly Pearce.” The Grand Ole Opry member previously shared photos with the sign, remembering that she “convinced my parents at 16 to drop out of high school & leave my home town. Today, that same home town honored me with ‘Carly Pearce Day,’ a key to the city, the title of ‘Kentucky Colonel’ and 2 of these signs at both ends of the town. I truly have no words.”

Pearce is the latest addition to the all-star iHeartCountry Festival lineup on May 13, at Moody Center in Austin, Texas. Fans across the country will able to tune in to all of the incredible live performances at this year's iHeartCountry Festival as the event will be broadcast on iHeartRadio country stations nationwide, and on iHeartRadio.com as well as the iHeartRadio app on Saturday, May 13th at 8pm ET/5pm PT.
