Russell Dickerson couldn’t help but share a tribute to Reba McEntire after he and the beloved country superstar appeared on the TODAY show on the same day. Dickerson posted a photo with “the queen” on Tuesday morning (April 18).
“This woman amazes me,” Dickerson said in his Instagram caption, setting it to McEntire’s iconic song, “Fancy.” “The years of being a star, a full on tv series, played MSG a couple nights before, hanging out late, up early for the today show with a smile and as absolutely kind as could be. You’re a true gem [Reba McEntire] and a living legend! ♥️♥️♥️♥️”
Dickerson appeared on the TODAY show on Monday morning (April 17), performing his latest single, “God Gave Me A Girl.” He took a moment before the performance to spotlight his pregnant wife, Kailey Dickerson, who watched from the studio.
On the same day, McEntire appeared on the show to talk about her upcoming lifestyle book and companion album, Not That Fancy: Simple Lessons on Living, Loving, Eating, and Dusting Off Your Boots. The interview came shortly after the legendary country artist ended her tour at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Saturday night (April 15). McEntire’s book and album will be available October 10.
