Dolly Parton and Garth Brooks are gearing up for their co-hosting duties at the 58th annual ACM Awards next month, hilariously joking about their “first time” hosting together.
“Woohoo! Don’t you look handsome? Are you ready for our big night?” Parton gushed over Brooks in the promo. Brooks admitted, “I’m a little nervous. First time, and all.”
“Don’t be nervous,” Parton assured. “I’m gonna be right here with you. …I’ve done this before plenty of times (with) plenty of people. I, personally, am gonna make this the best night of your life.”
The two beloved global superstars shared the clip on their social media channels on Tuesday (April 18), writing in their captions that there’s “a first time for everything.”
Parton is returning to host Country Music’s Party of the Year, teaming up with Brooks for the first time. The recent Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee previously said that she’s “had the pleasure of spending time with him throughout the years, (but) I can’t believe we’ve never had the chance to work together.”
The Academy of Country Music revealed its star-studded list of nominees last week, and Bobby Bones was first to exclusively reveal the nominees live on The Bobby Bones Show on Thursday morning’s show (April 13). Some of the nominees in highly-anticipated categories include Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert, Kane Brown, HARDY, Lainey Wilson and many others. See the full list of nominees here.
The 58th ACM Awards will take place at Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas. It’s set for Thursday, May 11 at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT/5 p.m. PT.
