Tim McGraw is bringing his storytelling to a whole new level.

The country music giant and 1883 star announced on Thursday (April 13) that he’s co-founding an entertainment, media and marketing company, with a promise to tell stories in a new and bigger way. The production company, Down Home, is a longtime coming, per McGraw’s announcement, and he plans to reveal more details about it soon.

“It’s been hard to keep this one a secret for so long! Storytelling has always been one of my biggest passions and I’m ready to take that same passion and apply it to something even bigger,” McGraw wrote in an Instagram caption on Thursday. “I can’t reveal too much just yet, but I can promise you that this company is going to be something special. We’re going to be shaking things up, breaking new ground, and bringing people together in a whole new way. …Can’t wait to unravel the incredible, untold stories with such a talented team!”

McGraw said Down Home, which will be based in Nashville, will feature TV and film projects and more. The company pledged to tell “relatable stories that capture the essence and spirit of everyday Americans.” See McGraw’s announcement here:
