Now that Kane Brown is gearing up to make his acting debut, could he team up with his wife Katelyn for a role?

Brown’s first-ever acting role comes in the soon-to-premiere TV drama Fire Country. The “One Mississippi” artist’s acting debut was announced when he was revealed as a 2023 CMT Music Awards cohost, along with Kelsea Ballerini. Brown plays Robin, a character described as “an enigmatic, modern-day train hopper who helps injured patients on the scene of a crash,” per a press release as CBS and CMT made a joint announcement. “A Robin Hood of sorts, he’s an outlaw on the run with a heart of gold.”

During the CMT awards, Brown and his wife won the Video of the Year award for their romantic duet, “Thank God.” The husband and wife duo also performed the smash-hit collaboration for the first time on live TV during the awards show, hosted at Moody Center in Austin, Texas.

Since the pair worked so well together with the duet, Entertainment Tonight asked Brown whether he and his wife could try acting together in the future. Brown admitted, “I don’t know,” but acknowledged that it’d be “cool” if the opportunity presented itself.

“I'd be curious to see her acting because she was helping me with the script when I was coming here,” Brown told the outlet. “She could definitely be, like, a Little Mermaid. She could definitely do something like that.”

Fire Country airs Friday (April 7) on CBS, and will be available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+.

Brown is part of the all-star iHeartCountry Festival lineup on May 13, at Moody Center in Austin, Texas. Fans across the country will able to tune in to all of the incredible live performances at this year's iHeartCountry Festival as the event will be broadcast on iHeartRadio country stations nationwide, and on iHeartRadio.com as well as the iHeartRadio app on Saturday, May 13th at 8pm ET/5pm PT.
