Miranda Lambert canceled one of her Las Vegas residency shows because of a doctor-ordered vocal rest. The “If I Was A Cowboy” superstar shared a note on her Instagram story on Thursday evening (March 30), with information for ticket holders to receive refunds:
“Hey y’all, I have been under a doctor’s care all day to see if things improved, however unfortunately I’ve been put on vocal rest and we have to cancel our show tonight. To the fans who made plans to spend their Thursday night with us, I truly apologize. I am working hard to get better for the shows on Saturday and Sunday. See you all soon, and thank you for understanding ❤️”
Lambert kicked off her high-energy residency at Zappos Theater in September 2022, and revealed in December that she would “keep the party goin in Vegas” with extended dates. Lambert named her residency after a lyric in another Palomino song, “Actin’ Up.” She told host Amy Brown at her iHeartCountry LIVE show at her Nashville bar last year that she’s “built a career on being feminine and still keeping a bada** edge, and I think that’s important and I felt like Velvet Rodeo would encompass that. …(Velvet Rodeo) felt like my catalog as a whole, and it’s a line in the new song and it just felt very Vegas to me.”
