Kelsea Ballerini had the best response when an Instagram user wanted to know about her boyfriend, a question that comes amid the award-winning artist’s budding romance with Outer Banks actor Chase Stokes.
Ballerini is gearing up for the final shows in the latest leg of her “HEARTFIRST Tour,” named after one of the 90s country-inspired singles from her latest full-length album, Subject To Change. Ballerini opted to field a few questions from fans during a pre-show Q&A on her Instagram story on Wednesday (March 15), before taking the stage in Cleveland, Ohio.
“How is your boyfriend,” one Instagram user asked in the Q&A. Rather than responding about Stokes, however — she confirmed in a podcast interview last month that she's not single, and she and Stokes are “vibing” — Ballerini opted to post and adorable, close-up photo of her dog, Dibs. She shared on a later slide, when a fan asked whether Dibs joins her on tour, that “he’s such a lil road dog.” Dibs is currently “at home now recovering from knee surgery…but he’ll be back on the road soon.”
Ballerini also opened up about taking care of herself between tours, hinted at what she’ll perform during the upcoming 2023 CMT Music Awards (which she’s set to co-host with Kane Brown), shared a wise word of advice about healing, and commented on her friendship with Fletcher (the two teamed up on a powerful new spin on “Better Version,” including a cinematic music video that premiered earlier this year).
