Eager fans were quick to snag tickets to Morgan Wallen’s free album release concert following the country hitmaker’s announcement of the first come, first served show on Thursday morning (March 2). All of the tickets were distributed within hours, the venue confirmed.

Wallen announced on Twitter on Thursday morning that he would perform a free show at Bridgestone Arena in Downtown Nashville, Tennessee, in support of his 36-track album that’s set to drop on Friday (March 3). The only way to get tickets, Wallen confirmed, was at the Bridgestone Arena box office between the hours of 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday.

Tickets were gone in a matter of hours. Bridgestone Arena’s Twitter account shared an update at 1:15 p.m.:

“The response was so incredible to Morgan Wallen’s album release celebration tomorrow night that as of 1:06pm CT all tickets to his free show have been distributed.”

Bridgestone Arena officials confirmed in a response to another Twitter user that “we will not be giving out tickets tomorrow.” While some fans expressed excitement that they scored tickets to Wallen’s show, others deemed it “heartbreaking” that they weren’t able to get a pair of tickets before all were distributed, including because of work schedules or those traveling from out of town. Less than two hours after the box office opened, Bridgestone Arena advised: “Because of that great response, if you are not already in line, we recommend you do NOT come to the Arena at this time - we will likely be out of tickets by the time you join the line.”

Wallen’s highly-anticipated album, One Thing At A Time, is set to release Friday.
