Kane Brown spotlighted an offensive social media commenter, and it appears to be one of many uncalled for messages.

The superstar country artist, known for blending influences from other genres into his music, posted a since-deleted screenshot on Instagram of an unnamed social media user who apparently wrote to him: “Maybe try rap next n*****.”

Brown posted the screenshot with a few laughing emojis, saying “sh*ts funny” and writing “little Friday motivation” in his caption on February 24. In the comments, Brown’s Instagram followers and some other country singer-songwriters showed up to support him. Jimmie Allen commented, “Slide his name my way. My cousin…wants to DM him. 😂😂.’ Kassi Ashton echoed, “What’s his address, I just wanna talk.” RaeLynn wrote, “Who’s a** do I need to kick?” Brown’s fans shared in the frustration and offered their unwavering support, as some wrote: “How can anyone think that’s okay? 😠,” “Why do other humans hate !?!,” “This makes my heart so sad!…,” “He’s so amazing. They need to leave my guy alone. He’s the reason why I love country music,” and many more.

Brown responded to one commenter who predicted the post would be taken down quickly. The Different Man artist said: “Instagram can delete it I’m not. I always keep my mouth shut but I get this 10x a day. Everyone pretends racism doesn’t exist and I don’t like to beat it on everyone because not everyone is but one person talks to my daughter like this I’m going to jail.”

Brown and his wife, Katelyn, have two young daughters. He has often shared his pride in being a “girl dad,” including saying, “I’ve always wanted a son until I had Kingsley and now I’m good with all my girls.” The girls were born in 2019 and 2021.
