Jimmie Allen is slated to team up with GRAMMY-winning Christian pop duo for KING & COUNTRY for the a collaborative, cross-genre performance.
Allen and for KING & COUNTRY — made up of Joel Smallbone and Luke Smallbone — are longtime friends who have never teamed up to perform together until now, according to CMT, which is set to air the one-hour crossroads special at the end of this month. CMT announced on Tuesday (February 14) that CMT Crossroads: FOR KING + COUNTRY & Jimmie Allen will premiere on Tuesday, February 28 at 10 p.m. ET/9 p.m. CT. Viewers can also catch an encore rendition immediately following the debut, or during additional airings on Sunday, March 5 (at 11 a.m. ET/10 a.m. CT), Friday, March 10 (at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT) and Saturday, March 11 (at 10 a.m. ET/9 a.m. CT and 6 p.m. ET/5 p.m. CT).
The upcoming crossroads event was filmed in front of a live audience at The Factory in Franklin, Tennessee. CMT Crossroads: FOR KING + COUNTRY & Jimmie Allen will feature stories told by the artists and performances of some of their biggest songs. The setlist includes “Best Shot,” “Down Home” and “Freedom Was A Highway” and FOR KING + COUNTRY’S “God Only Knows,” “Joy” and “What Are We Waiting For?,” per CMT.
