Chris Stapleton truly stunned the masses with his version of the national anthem.
Once the country singer wrapped up his performance on Sunday night, February 12, the love from fans and some of the biggest artists in the music industry began to pour in. Songstress Mickey Guyton congratulated Stapleton on his beautiful set.
"Wow @ChrisStapleton," she tweeted. "You killed the National Anthem! Congrats my friend. #SuperBowl" She wasn't the only prominent singer to show him some love. Carly Pearce, Parker McCollum and Jordan Davis all described their thoughts on his performance.
"The most soulful National Anthem ever," Pearce declared. "@ChrisStapleton you’re one in a million!!!! #SuperBowl."
"Chris Stapleton is the greatest singer of all time and you can’t change my mind," McCollum stated.
Stapleton had the entire stadium on their feet as he crooned "The Star Spangled Banner." He was joined by Academy award-winner Troy Kotsur, who delivered a stunning ASL version of the song. The "Broken Halos" singer's twangy rendition of the national anthem hit home to a lot of people on the sidelines, including Philadelphia Eagles coach Nick Sirianni, who was brought to tears. His set concluded with a historic military flyover that was conducted by an all-female crew for the first time ever. His performance happened after Kenny "Babyface" Edmunds sang "America the Beautiful" and Abbott Elementary's Sheryl Lee-Ralph delivered "Lift Every Voice and Sing."
