Alan Jackson and his wife, Denise, have been married for more than 40 years, “and we’re happier than we’ve ever been.”
The legendary country superstar reflected on his relationship with Denise, and how she’s always inspired his music throughout his decades-long career as an award-winning artist. Jackson remembered one song in particular, per a statement shared by his record label:
“We got a lot of history together now, and we’re happier than we’ve ever been. So, she’s still beautiful, and she’s always inspired songs. I mean, one of my early hits was a song called ‘I’d Love You All Over Again,’ I wrote for her for our 10th anniversary [released in 1990]. I mean, there’s been a zillion songs that have pieces of our good days and bad days inspired, and they continue to.”
Since tying the knot in 1979, Jackson and his wife have raised three daughters. They became first-time grandparents as their middle child, Ali, and her husband Sam welcomed their son, Jackson Alvie Bradshaw, in December 2022. Jackson posted an adorable photo with Denise and their grandson as the couple celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary. He said in his heartfelt caption at the time: “So happy that this little guy has made us grandparents!”
Now, the family is growing again. Jackson's eldest daughter, Mattie Jackson Smith, announced that she and husband Connor Smith are expecting their first child together this year. Jackson said as he shared a photo on Instagram with Denise and the parents-to-be: “Blessings are overflowing in our growing family! Denise and I are thrilled for our second grandson to arrive in June! We’re so happy for proud parents [Mattie Jackson Smith] and Connor Smith and can’t wait to meet the next addition to our family. - AJ”
