Kelsea Ballerini responded to recent rumors that she’s dating Outer Banks actor Chase Stokes, after a photo of the two stars sparked speculation online.
Ballerini took to TikTok, displaying a screenshot to show some comments and even a poll behind her. She said, “I know,” repeatedly, and went on to say: “Stop reading. Stop looking. But what is happening, guys? What? …Let’s not do this, you know?”
The screenshot shows a comment speculating that, if there was a budding romance between Ballerini and Stokes, it “has to be a PR play.” The poll listed three options: “relationship confirm,” “they are prob just hooking up,” and “they are just friends.”
“i’m about to break up with the internet 5 sure 😂,” Ballerini captioned her TikTok as she responded to the rumors.
It all started when Stokes shared a photo dump on Instagram on Friday (January 13), including one photo taken at the College Football Playoff National Championship earlier that week. The pair sat close to one another at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, and Ballerini’s face seems to disappear under the brim of Stokes’ hat. Instagram users quickly wondered whether that meant the two were starting a relationship, months after her divorce settlement.
