Eric Church unveiled plans for a never-been-done summer tour on Wednesday morning (January 11), mapping out plans to perform in never-headlined venues with an all-star list of special guests.
Church is set to kick off “The Outsiders Revival Tour” in June, spanning the 27-city trek through September, he announced on his social media channels after posted several cryptic teasers. Church posted a few clips depicting fuzzy radio stations. Listeners can catch snippets of songs by artists who have now been revealed as Church’s special guests throughout the tour, before the audio clears and plays some of Church’s biggest songs, including “Springsteen,” “Heart On Fire.” In the final teaser, Church seemingly speaks in an interview, reflecting on his first amphitheater concert.
“We have never done an outdoor summer tour,” Church said when he announced the tour on Wednesday. “Never headlined amphitheaters. Never brought a summer experience to your town that featured artists we want to share the summer with. Until now. See you in the season of sunshine with some fellow outsiders that shine brightest when the sun goes down.”
“When I approach touring, I’m always inspired by a new experience, a new way to gather, to express ourselves sonically and visually,” Church added in a statement shared by his record label. “Whether it’s solo, in the round, double down; being able to bring a different perspective has always brought out our best creatively.”
Whiskey Myers, Cody Jinks, Jelly Roll, Ashley McBryde, Koe Wetzel, Lainey Wilson, Midland, Parker McCollum, Travis Tritt, Elle King, Paul Cauthen, Jackson Dean, Morgan Wade, Muscadine Bloodline, Shane Smith & The Saints, Hailey Whitters, Ray Wylie Hubbard and The Red Clay Strays are set to join Church on tour on select dates.
