Reba McEntire is making it clear why her character’s nickname is “The Hammer.”

McEntire stars in the soon-to-premiere Lifetime movie, The Hammer, playing an attorney (whose name is Kim Wheeler). Wheeler “is appointed as a judge for Nevada's 5th district after the former judge's death. As the investigation into the death intensifies, Kim's sister, who runs the local brothel, becomes the prime suspect,” the movie’s description reads on IMDb

McEntire and Lifetime shared a teaser for The Hammer on Wednesday (January 4). The scene shows the country music icon seated in the courtroom, telling a defendant, “when I’m speaking, you zip it. Otherwise, we’re going to have a problem, mister.”

“You want a problem, woman?” the man, donning a prison uniform and handcuffed, replies in the teaser. “I got a problem with you!”

The defendant charges toward McEntire, who quickly responds before the bailiff can spring into action. McEntire swiftly hits the man with her gavel, immediately knocking him to the ground.

The Hammer, directed by Jeff Beesley, is set to debut on Saturday (January 7) at 8 p.m. The cast also includes McEntire’s boyfriend, actor Rex Linn, and her former Reba costar, Melissa Peterman, among others. Watch the latest teaser here:
