Eric Church shared a sneak peek of his soon-to-open bar on Lower Broadway in Nashville, Tennessee. The “Drink In My Hand” artist posted two new digital renderings of his upcoming venue, Chief’s, which is set to open in 2023.
“(Chief’s) will feature a ticketed music venue plus additional live entertainment throughout the building, and one-of-a-kind design elements including more than 3,000 Eric Church concert posters from throughout his career layered across the floor, walls and ceiling,” reads Church’s Instagram post as he shared the first renderings on Monday (December 5). Recently, the singer-songwriter also shared a glimpse of the exterior's progress, set to his 2009 anthem “Smoke a Little Smoke.”
Church confirmed earlier this year that he would open the six-story venue in 2023, naming after his famous nickname and his 2011 studio album. Chief’s will open in the space formerly occupied by Cotton Eyed Joe, at the intersection of Broadway and Second Avenue in Downtown Nashville. Church is partnering with Ben Weprin, founder and CEO of private real estate company AJ Capital Partners, and chef Rodney Scott to make it happen. Church’s venue will join a list of several other country hitmakers to open a bar/restaurant downtown, including Miranda Lambert, Jason Aldean, Blake Shelton and more.
“Like Everything we do with our music, the same care and consideration has gone into every detail of this place,” Church said on Monday. “It will be unrivaled downtown. I can't wait to play here.”
