Dan + Shay proved that they know how to throw the perfect holiday party, even when they’re working on a time crunch.
Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney jumped into action when they received a call from their wives — Abby Smyers and Hannah Mooney — asking whether the party was almost ready as they drive through snowy weather. As Mooney held the phone to his ear, Smyers said in a hushed voice, “tell them to take their time,” as they both surveyed the undecorated house (their wives laughed, knowing that there were “zero” chances that the party was ready when they called).
That’s when Dan + Shay prep for the holiday party, keeping tabs on weather updates as it continues to snow. Smyers and Mooney decorate the house with lights, stockings, gingerbread houses and other must-haves for a festive gathering.
Dan + Shay released their latest song, “Holiday Party,” earlier this month, wasting no time getting into the Christmas spirit. They announced right after Halloween that they’d written their next holiday track, following “Officially Christmas” and other favorites. They debuted the new music video on Monday (November 21). Watch it below.
