Kelsea Ballerini shared a sneak peek of her soon-to-release collaboration with Fletcher hours before it’s set to debut. The GRAMMY-nominated “HEARTFIRST” star posted an 8-second clip on TikTok on Thursday afternoon (November 17), giving her followers the first snippet of the song featured on Fletcher’s Girl Of My Dreams deluxe album. Fletcher added in the comments on her own teaser on TikTok: “i can’t wait for you guys to hear her voice on this.”
Fletcher revealed that Ballerini is featured on “Better Version.” Fans will get a chance to listen to the new song with the full deluxe album on Friday (November 18). Fletcher wrote in her Instagram caption this week: “One of my good friends [Kelsea Ballerini] has helped me navigate one of the craziest years of my life - so much chaos, crying, healing and happiness all at the same time. She’s seen all the versions of me. considering she’s also one of my favorite artists and loved track 5 [‘Better Version’] so much on the record, we decided to subject my favorite written song on Girl Of My Dreams to some changes. we are now releasing track 17 - ‘better version (feat. Kelsea Ballerini)’ together this friday. i hope you love it as much as i do 🤍”
The two artists seemingly teased the new version of the song with mysterious hints on social media, including when they went axe throwing together. Ballerini said the successful through “our 17th try 😅,” which some fans wondered was a hint about the number 17 (now, fans know that Ballerini is featured on the 17th track of Fletcher’s deluxe album).
