Brothers Osborne has teamed up with Shoreham, Vermont-headquartered distillery WhistlePig Whiskey, and it's time to raise a glass to the new collaboration. John and TJ Osborne — the brothers who make up the Grammy Award-winning country duo — selected a limited-edition 100% rye whiskey created for them: The WhistlePig PiggyBack Legends Series: Brothers Osborne Barrel.
The Brothers Osborne Barrel is “aged in American Oak Barrels for no less than 6 years before finishing its journey with high toast custom barrel heads,” reads a press release issued Tuesday (November 15). This is the second iteration in Brothers Osborne’s single barrel PiggyBack Legends Series, and the “It Ain’t My Fault” duo selected the Piggyback 100% Rye Whiskey “for the perfect melody of balanced flavors in each sip from start to finish. It is bottled at 96.56 proof, with a balance of sweet, spice and smoke,” the release describes.
"We’re very proud to release a new kind of single for our family to enjoy this holiday season,” the reigning CMA Vocal Duo of the Year said in a statement. “At its core, music is a string of notes that creates a perfect melody, and the same applies to whiskey. You want a combination of various components that complement one another, and whether it's music or whiskey, it's always a dynamic mix. We are huge fans of WhistlePig, so much so we included them in our recent [‘I’m Not For Everyone’] music video. We’re inviting everyone to raise a glass with us to something dangerously good!"

The limited-edition PiggyBack Legends Series aims to nod to “living legends who turn 100% into legendary moments,” according to the press release from WhistlePig Whiskey. It also states that the Brothers Osborne Barrel will be available to purchase online beginning Tuesday, and in select stores in Texas, Tennessee and Illinois, and about 100 autographed bottles will be available for pre-order. Proceeds benefit Rogers Behavioral Health and Mission Impossible Fund to help low-income patients receive mental health treatment. The not-for-profit mental health and addiction services provider aims to help adults, children and adolescents with depression, eating disorders, anxiety disorders and more.
