Shania Twain is a woman who won’t back down when she wants to speak her mind. The iconic singer-songwriter shared a clip on her social media channels declaring that she’s “the queen of me,” as she shared an empowering message about speaking her mind:
“I was always very bold and straightforward about what I thought and my point of view on things as a woman, particularly. My point of view in relationships, the way I felt that women should be treated, respected, and I still feel the same way. So, I’m just gonna carry on with that message. I mean, I’m the boss of me, man. I take responsibility for what I think, what I say, what I do, and I’m not gonna be pushed around. I’m not gonna get bullied, and I’m gonna speak my mind.”
Twain recently confirmed that her next album Queen of Me, is set to release on February 3, and her “Queen of Me Tour” will kick off in late April 2023. The global tour includes Twain’s previously-announced Nashville show, which is the first concert hosted at GEODIS Park, Nashville SC’s new home. Special guests will join on select dates, including Kelsea Ballerini, Lindsay Ell, Hailey Whitters, Breland, Robyn Ottolini, Priscilla Block, and Mickey Guyton.
“These days, I'm feeling very comfortable in my own skin - and I think this album reflects that musically,” Twain shared as she announced her album and tour. “Life is short and I want to be uplifted, colorful, unapologetic and empowered. I want to carry a clear message, particularly as a woman, to always remember my power and I hope the songs are a reminder to you, of that same power inside you! …I’ll be Queen Of Me – you be Queen of YOU! 👑”
