A New Haven restaurant is being credited as the most historic fast food joint in Connecticut.

Love Food compiled a list of the most historic fast food joints in every U.S. state, which included Louis' Lunch as the top choice for Connecticut.

"Louis’ Lunch is responsible for introducing burgers to the world." Love Food wrote. "Established in 1895, the restaurant is recognized by the Library of Congress as the birthplace of the hamburger. It still crafts its old-fashioned burgers with five cuts of meat and serves the patties on slices of white sandwich bread instead of the now-typical bun."
