Jessie James Decker and Billy Currington delivered a heartfelt duet on Friday (October 21), declaring that they still love one another in a emotional ballad, “I Still Love You.”
The duet is about two years in the making. Decker shared with CMT that the song title first popped up in 2020, and although she had a fowling about it at the time, she waited for the “right moment” to make it happen. The song was written by Matt Dragstrem, Josh Kear and Chris Tompkins.
On Friday, Decker awoke after a long night’s rest from working on her performances on Dancing With The Stars, and gushed in a video on her Instagram story: “I just cannot believe all the love for me and Billy’s song, ‘I Still Love You,’ I am just beaming right now. ...I am freaking out.”
“We have been wanting to do this for so long and I can’t believe it’s finally here,” she continued as she shared a clip of the song shared on her page. “I truly mean it in my heart when I say this is the best song/project I’ve ever put out and it’s been a long time coming.”
