Kelsea Ballerini showed that wardrobe malfunctions happen to the best of us, and she’s laughing it off in the best way. The award-winning singer-songwriter is currently on her “HEARTFIRST” Tour after releasing her latest album, Subject To Change, last month. When she performed in Kansas City, Missouri, Ballerini said one of her outfit changes didn’t go as planned.
“I just walked offstage in Kansas City, and it was one of my favorite shows I’ve gotten to play in a long time; however, I have four outfit changes during my tour. And the last one is this pair of jeans and this t-shirt, that says ‘I’m Doin’ My Best,’” Ballerini explained on TikTok after performing the Sunday night show (October 9). She said in a sing-song voice that when she put on the jeans, “the zipper was undone!”
Ballerini shared her reaction to seeing footage of the wardrobe issue onstage on Monday morning (October 10). One of the fans attending her show loudly tried to catch Ballerini’s attention to let her know that her zipper was down — yelling “Kelsea! Your Zipper!” — but the “Love Is A Cowboy” star didn’t seem to catch on right away.
“It’s the fact that I thought they were screaming for the song, for me,” Ballerini said as she reacted to the clip, which shows her continuing to dance through the song. “It’s the fact that I was serving moves.” That’s when Ballerini realizes that her zipper was down and fixes it during her performance. She wrote in her caption: “RETIRING BYE YALL.”
Luckily, Ballerini’s fans were quick to laugh it off with her, commenting: “Her screams were hilarious!! You handled that with grace!! At least nothing showed!! Hahaha,” “The hand dance moves with zipper down for me HAHAHA,” “The recovery is all that matters,” “THE WAY YOU OWN IT YES THIS IS TOO FUNNY,” and “HAAHA babe you’re human, just doin’ your best!!”
