Faith Hill marked her 26th wedding anniversary by sharing a hilarious throwback clip with her superstar husband Tim McGraw. As the husband-and-wife duo stood behind the podium at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, they shared some emotional gestures and witty banter.
Hill and McGraw tied the knot on October 6, 1996. Since getting married 26 years ago, they’ve raised three daughters: Gracie, 25, Maggie, 24, and Audrey, 20. Hill gushed over them in the clip she shared on Instagram on Thursday, though she couldn’t resist the opportunity to make a joke.
“The greatest gift that we have ever been given in life are our children. It’s because of them that I want to be the best person I could possibly be, and because of their dad,” Hill said, turning to McGraw to say, “that’s you, by the way.”
As the audience — and Hill — began to laugh, McGraw raised a hand and added, “we have blood tests” to prove it.
“I don’t wanna get all sappy,” Hill said after the laughter quieted, “but I do love this guy. He is spicy like Tabasco sauce, times 1,000. He is spicy, and he’s a handful, and it’s awesome. He’s just taught me to be spicier all the time. Thank you for my babies, I love ‘em and I love you.”
“I ran across this video a while back, and thought it would be a good post in honor of our 26 year wedding anniversary,” Hill wrote in her caption on Instagram. “I love making my husband laugh, but nothing is more fun than making him do so in public.”
Earlier in the day, McGraw shared a sweet tribute to his wife, a heartwarming collection of romantic photos and videos with her over the years. It was all set to his 2007 song “I Need You,” featuring Hill.
